About Us

Welcome to the official WordPress of the academic journal Intersectional Perspectives: Identity, Culture and Society (IPICS).

We are an academic journal run by Cardiff University postgraduate students and supported by Cardiff University Press. Having grown from humble beginnings as a PhD Research group, we are now an online, international and interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary peer-reviewed journal. We aim to not only further academic knowledge and share the latest research, but also to support the publication of work by postgraduate, early career and public researchers.

Our journal publishes articles that address the themes of identity, sexuality, gender, race, and how they, and other markers of identity, interact and intersect, challenge, and/or question culture and society. We also encourage submissions that cut across racial, national, sexual, class, and (dis)ability divisions, as well as other markers of social difference.

This WordPress account will share the more informal work of the journal that we publish to supplement our issues.
